Where our numbers stand: 1,980 treatments delivered

We think a charity should publish its figures plainly and at intervals, including the ones that do not flatter it. Here is where we are.

What these numbers mean
A treatment delivered means one person's complete episode of care was paid for: consultation, tests and medication, settled against an itemised bill at a partner facility. It does not mean a contribution was made towards a larger programme.
The reason the treatment figure is so much larger than the donation figure is simply that a treatment costs about three pounds. A single monthly donor funds a great many people over time.
What we have not achieved
We have 193 donors. That is a small number and we are not going to inflate it by counting everyone who has ever downloaded the app.
Our constraint is not our ability to deliver treatments. We have a verified queue of people waiting and a system that can process considerably more than it currently does. The constraint is how many people know DOGO exists. That is why the most valuable volunteering anybody can do for us is marketing, and why this paragraph is on our website rather than buried in a report.
We also still do not cover major surgery or long-term specialist care, so there are people who come to a stand that we cannot fully help.
How to check us
Our registration is verifiable with the Charity Commission under number 1198719. Every donor receives an itemised breakdown of the bill their donation settled. Detail on transparency and impact and results.
Give someone a treatment
Set up a £5 monthly donation and we will show you exactly who it treated. In Nigeria, £5 covers one person's entire treatment, usually with change.
