Terms of use
Last updated 11 September 2026
These terms apply when you use DOGO's website, the Dogo Health app, our WhatsApp service or the DOGO Keeper app. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.
1. About us
DOGO is a registered charity in England and Wales, charity number 1198719, with its registered office at 2 Television Centre, Wood Lane, London W12 7FR. In these terms, "we", "us" and "DOGO" mean DOGO, and "our services" means our website, our apps and our WhatsApp service.
By using our services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.
2. What DOGO does
DOGO pays for the medical treatment of people who cannot afford it, and shows donors who their donation helped. Patients register at a DOGO stand and receive a six-digit DOGO ID. They are treated by qualified staff at our partner clinics and hospitals. Our team checks each bill, the bill is paid using donations, and the donor is shown who their donation helped.
3. Donations
- A donation is a gift to a registered charity. It is not a payment for goods or services.
- We use donations mainly to pay for patients' treatment. Donations also help cover the cost of running the charity, including the team who check every bill and the technology we rely on.
- We match donations to patients in the order they have been waiting. You cannot choose which patient your donation helps.
- Treatment costs are converted into pounds at the exchange rate on the day your donation is matched.
- Monthly donations continue until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time in the Dogo Health app, or by emailing us.
- If you think a donation was taken in error, email info@dogoapp.org and we will look into it.
4. Using our services
- Use our services lawfully, and only for their intended purpose.
- Do not try to access information that is not meant for you, interfere with our systems, or use our services to harm anyone.
- If you have an account, keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
5. Respecting the people we help
The people we help have trusted us with personal and sensitive information. If you are a donor:
- do not try to identify, find or contact the patient your donation helped
- only share your impact page in a way that respects the patient's dignity and privacy
6. Partner clinics and hospitals
If you use DOGO Keeper on behalf of a partner clinic or hospital, you must only submit accurate records of treatment that was actually given to a patient with a valid DOGO ID. Your clinic remains responsible for the medical care it provides. Any separate agreement between your clinic and DOGO also applies.
7. Medical information
DOGO does not give medical advice or treatment. Decisions about treatment are made by the qualified doctors and nurses at our partner clinics and hospitals. Nothing in our services, including Fatima, our AI video guide, is medical advice. If you are unwell, please see a doctor.
8. Our content
The content of our website and apps, including text, design, images and graphics, belongs to DOGO or is used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse it without asking us first. We are usually happy to help people who want to share our story.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We try to keep the information in our services accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information and may sometimes contain errors.
- We aim to keep our services available, but we cannot promise that they will always be available or free of faults.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that are caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
10. Your personal information
Our privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information, and the rights you have.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using our services after a change, the updated terms will apply.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales will deal with it, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
